Building a chicken coop...

Last week I was a featured guest on Dog Island Farm (an awesome urban farm here in Vallejo!) My post was about how to build a chicken coop (or, more appropriately, how to find a chicken coop you like so your dad can build it for you!) Check it out here!

Trip with Kids

My friend Val and I headed over to the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito with her son Maddox and my niece Cadence. This place was amazing (and we happened to go on the only free day of the month)! There were so many things for kids to do both indoors and outdoors. It was so great to watch Maddox and Cadence play - they got along so well and were so sad to leave each other. In fact, when I was uploading these photos, Cadence said "that's such a great picture because it's of my friend, and I miss him." Love at first sight!

Fort Baker - can someone please get married there and invite me??

The GG from a different angle. The fog was coming in - awesome.

'Lil Update

I've been MIA - I know this. Between doing flowers for a first bar mitzvah, coordinating a wedding, visiting my parents house, and saying goodbye to Paul** (oh, and watching a 4 year old) - you can say I've been quite busy. Things are going really well, the summer is hot, and it's hard to believe that I've been "unemployed" for over 5 weeks (though I'm keeping myself so busy it seems like I have a job). Coco is doing great (she's better with kids than she is with adults, which is strange), the big chickens are still laying consistently and the small girls are getting bigger! Our garden is going gangbusters (finally) and life in general is good. Here's a pic of our first "crop" of radishes:

And, my baby girl. She's getting so big!

Hope you all are enjoying your summer!

**So for those of you that don't know, Paul has moved to Vegas for (hopefully) just a few months for work. It's slow here in the Bay Area, and with me being unemployed, well, that's what had to happen. Sad face.
